Stavros & Tatiana

Our Story
The year was 2017, the month July and the location was our dear friends’ wedding, when Stavros made the move to introduce himself just before dinner. Tatiana was in her own world, of course, spending most of the time on the dance floor with her friends. Though we did get a few chances for some small talk here and there, that evening.
Upon spending some time together, we came to realise that we had way more in common, like the people in our close circles, the fact that our families knew each other very well, or even the fact that Stavros was christened at Tatiana’s family taverna in the old town. It sounded too bizarre to be real… But it seems that Fate had a plan all these years growing up, to this very moment… To cross paths at this stage of our lives.
For their first date, Stavros chose for them to spend the afternoon exploring the Troodos mountain trails, a first time experience for Tatiana; then teaching her how to shoot at an archery range, it took some getting used to at the beginning on Tatiana’s part but she managed to hit bullseye eventually; and finishing it off with meze for dinner. It was a day filled with lots of laughter and memories!
Several dates later, in order to ask Tatiana officially, Stavros found a delicate silver filigree bracelet from his family’s old jewellery collection and presented it as a token of his love, asking her to be his girlfriend. Yes, cheesy, but she loved it! A few months later, he surprised her with a Christmas gift, a key. Since then, they have been living together in their Limassol seafront apartment.
After six years filled with fun experiences, travel and beautiful memories, Stavros finally made the decision to propose. Of all the places on Earth that they have travelled to… he chose to do it at the ancient ruins of Kourion, overlooking the sweeping coastline of Episkopi Bay, under a sky full of stars. It is a place of great significance to them, because apart from its ancient and spiritual importance, it was a place they had visited on one of their first dates. He might have taken his sweet time, but it feels like they both finally found their person.
Their engagement photos were taken at Governor’s Beach, with its striking contrast of white chalk cliffs and dark pebbled shore, the setting of one of their first dates.
They would be honoured to have their friends and family with them on their special day, to celebrate their love and union.
